Physical Health as a Manifestation of Thought

Do you believe in illness?

What if I told you that YOUR MIND creates your body, and each ache, pain, or illness you perceive to be of the body is really in your mind?

Well, I just said that to you - how does that make you feel?

I find the understanding that my MIND creates my body very empowering. I know that my physical body is temporary, it is a manifestation, just as everything that I see, hear, taste, and feel is. What this means is that here in this reality NOW, my MIND is creating, my body is very “Real” on this level - yet in the TRUTH of eternity, it is just an image of a state of thoughts, and will pass away into nothingness. I can perceive that things hurt ME, yet they cannot hurt what I truly am. I can believe that things benefit me, yet life or “Reality” is simply a frame I construct to hold what I really am.

So pain and illness are a perception. It is something which can only be perceived and experienced as “Real” at the level of form, and has no eternal truth in it. It is an illusion. Anything which is not truth, is illusion, and all illusions can be renewed, be manipulated (changed), or even be accepted - but they also may be cast aside.

Similar to clothing which covers your body, States of Being are garments of perception we choose to put on and wear. And, similar to your wardrobe - you are free to change what state you are wearing at will. Your wardrobe is the infinate closet of consciousness, in which resides/exists every possible state of being you could choose to wear (experience). You can fashion any reality you choose, mix it up, strip down to undergarments, or deck yourself out in the most luxurious array imaginable, it is your choice. They (states of being) are all there hanging around, waiting for you to choose, and to try them on, to experience yourself residing within them.

If you think that your illness or state of ill health is not a garment you have chosen to wear, then consider your thoughts and imaginings regarding your health. Close your eyes and in your mind’s eye, see yourself. How do you look? How do you feel? If you see or imagine anything other than PERFECT, you are choosing to dress yourself in ILLNESS. When you tell someone you are ill - you are choosing to validate illness as your garment. If you think about being in pain, you are validating pain.

No state of being or experience can be thrust upon you - everything in your life was invited through choice, and made manifest with focused thought, feeling, and belief.

I am very aware of the COMPLETE belief in SICKNESS and DISEASE which exists within the mind of man. I once also held such beliefs. I once imagined myself in severe pain and suffering, until I realized it was a choice. In that moment of acceptance, of surrender, I accepted responsibility for my state of being, and set about to manifest a new reality.

I decided to put on the garment of wellness. First, I had to cast off what I was wearing (pain/illness) and choose from my desired state. Each time my physical senses tried to convince me I was in pain, I pushed it from my awareness and told myself it was an illusion.

“It isn’t real” I’d say and then take a few minutes to sit and close my eyes and within my imagination, see myself (experience myself) as well. I didn’t simply visualize my body, I was in that body and that body was pain free and healthy.

Once you have suceeded in assuming that state within your mind, it will be realized. You must embody your desired state now, not in some future you wish for, but in the now. It sounds simple perhaps, but to those who are not practiced with creative imagination may have problems understanding how you place yourself within an imaginative state and make it feel real.

We do this all the time - we watch a movie and get lost in it. We read books and are reeled into another world, time, or place - and our minds leave what was and we find ourselves in an imaginary place.

It may take a bit of practice, but it is well worth the effort if you truly choose to experience a different reality.

You must decide that all perception is an illusion. And these perceptions include what doctors tell you, what others say, what you see, feel, smell, taste, and all the other input you receive from countless sources. They are all illusions, based upon your past choices. Simply choose a new state of being. BE WELL.
